NewIntro to Skating CampHockey/SkatingIs your child interested in hockey, figure skating, or simply learning how to skate for fun? No matter the reason, there’s a place for them at our Intro to Skating Camp led by the experienced coaches of the Sartell Figure Skating Club (SFSC). Skaters will learn skating basics such as how to fall safely, get back up, and move confidently on the ice. Skaters should plan to bring their own skates or to rent hockey skates from the Scheels Athletic Complex. SFSC has a limited number of skates that can be borrowed on a first come first served basis. Learn to SkateHockey/SkatingOur Sauk Rapids Recreation Learn to Skate program, hosted in partnership with the Sauk Rapids Youth Hockey Association, is a fun and structured five-week introduction to ice skating for ages 4+ — all skill levels welcome! The atmosphere is energetic, positive, and confidence boosting—ideal for those just wanting to have fun or those taking their first steps toward hockey or figure skating! It’s all about building balance, coordination, and a lasting love for the ice — come join the fun! Participants will be REQUIRED to wear a bicycle or hockey helmet. Additional padding and warm clothes are encouraged to stay comfortable. Participants should supply their own skates for this program. However, for families that are unable to provide skates, SRYHA will have select sizes of skates to lend to participants for this program.
