Registration
- How do I register?
- You can register online at SRR Community Education

Sauk Rapids, MN 56379 - Can I register if I am not a resident of your district?
- Yes! Anyone can register for our classes/programs at any time, but discounts or scholarships are available for District 47 residents only.
- Can I get a refund if I decide to cancel my registration?
- Refunds may be requested up to TWO business days prior to the first class date and are subject to a $5.00 service charge per person, per program less any materials purchased (if applicable). For courses that meet more than once, such as adult fitness courses, refunds will not be given for individual dates the participant does not attend.
- I'm over 62 years old. How do I get the Gold Card?
- Register for our Gold Card Program or call Community Education at 320-258-1577. If you are a resident of District 47 age 62 and over, you are eligible for free lifetime admission to most District 47 home athletic and fine arts events as a Gold Card Member.
- Do I get a discount if I'm a UCare Minnesota member?
- As of 01/01/2026, the community Education allowance will no longer be included in the following UCare plans:
- UCare Medicare
- EssentiaCare
- UCare Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO)
- UCare Connect + Medicare
- Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP)
- MinnesotaCare
- Minnesota Senior Care Plus (MSC+)
- UCare Connect
- The following plans will still have this allowance in 2026:
- Individual & Family Plans ($45 annually)
- Individual & Family Plans with M Health Fairview ($45 annually)
- Any unused allowance dollars will expire after 12/31/2025. If members have any questions about their plan or benefit changes, please advise them to call UCare customer service or refer to their 2026 plan documents for more information.
- What other discounts are available?
- Discounts including Scholarships (25-50% reduced fees based on benefit status), Senior (up to 25% reduced fee), and Disability (up to 25% reduced fee) are possible for District 47 residents only in need of assistance to participate. Some exceptions apply based on program and less any materials required for the class.
- For student scholarships, a valid Educational Benefits Form for the current school year must be on file in order for us to verify your benefit status and apply a discount.
- If you have NOT completed the form for the current school year:
Visit the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District Food Service page and click the "Educational Benefits Form (Free or Reduced Lunch Form)" tab for step-by-step instructions on how to apply online or download the paper form to complete. - If you have completed the benefits form for the current school year:
Please call our office to register for the program at a reduced rate; We can manually apply the discount once the District has it on file and we can verify status. - What happens if I don’t hear back once I register for a class?
- Unless you are notified, all classes will be held as scheduled.
- The course is full, should I add my name to the wait list?
- Yes! If someone cancels, we will contact you.
- I was just about to register for a class. Why did it cancel?
- Register early! Nothing cancels a class faster than waiting until the last minute to register. Decisions to cancel classes are made one week prior to its start date.
- I have an idea for a class. What do I do?
- We welcome ideas and suggestions for new classes and instructors. Please call Community Education at 320-258-1577 or fill out our online Class Idea Form.
- I would like to teach a class. What do I do?
- Please fill out our online Instructor/Course Proposal form or call Community Ed at 320-258-1577.
Locations & Hours
- Where are we located?
- We are located at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School at 901 1st Street South. From Benton Drive, turn onto 1st Street and follow that up the hill until you see the Middle School on your left. Enter door #5 and we'll buzz you into the office.

- Community Education works in cooperation with other districts to expand your choice of activities. Please note the location of your activity, as they may not be in our district buildings.
