Classroom Drivers EducationLifestyle, Health and SafetyThis course is for students looking to complete the classroom portion of Driver’s Education. This class does not include behind the wheel. Classroom instruction consists of videos, lectures, study guides, presentations, tests, and discussions. The state of MN requires 30 hours of classroom instruction. Each of the 10 sessions consists of three hours of classroom instruction. Upon completion of their 30 hours of classroom instruction, students will receive a “Certificate of Completion” which allows them to get a blue card from a driving school (must pre-register for behind the wheel with them to receive the blue card). Once they have a blue card from the driving school they can then schedule to take a Minnesota permit test. Students must bring iPad or laptop with them to class. The student must attend all 10 sessions. Any missed sessions must be made up before a certificate of completion will be issued. The instructor will be available for hire ($25/hr.) after the session concludes for any missed sessions. Students may start driving classes at the age of 14, obtain their permit at age 15 and license at the age of 16.Fall 2026 -
