Our Sauk Rapids Recreation Learn to Skate program, hosted in partnership with the Sauk Rapids Youth Hockey Association, is a fun and structured five-week introduction to ice skating for ages 4+ — all skill levels welcome! The atmosphere is energetic, positive, and confidence boosting—ideal for those just wanting to have fun or those taking their first steps toward hockey or figure skating! It’s all about building balance, coordination, and a lasting love for the ice — come join the fun! Participants will be REQUIRED to wear a bicycle or hockey helmet. Additional padding and warm clothes are encouraged to stay comfortable. Participants should supply their own skates for this program. However, for families that are unable to provide skates, SRYHA will have select sizes of skates to lend to participants for this program. If your child needs skates, please indicate their shoe size in the questions that follow registration.
