Adult Learn to Skate Camp
It’s never too late to learn to skate—or to get back on the ice! This camp is designed for adults of all experience levels, from true beginners to those looking to refresh and improve their skills. Led by the Sartell Figure Skating Club coaches, skaters will work on balance, confidence, and fundamental skating skills such as stopping, turning, and forward and backward skating. Instruction is adapted to each skater’s comfort and ability in a supportive, fun environment. Skaters should plan to bring their own skates or plan to rent hockey skates from the Scheels Athletic Complex. Join us to discover the joy of skating as an adult! Advanced Beginner / Intermediate Skating Camp
This camp is designed for skaters who are comfortable on the ice and ready to build on their skills. Led by the Sartell Figure Skating Club (SFSC) coaches, skaters will focus on improving balance, control, and confidence while learning stronger forward and backward skating, stops, turns, and introductory figure skating skills. Instruction is grouped by ability to ensure each skater is challenged at an appropriate level in a positive and encouraging environment. Skaters should plan to bring their own skates or plan to rent hockey skates from the Scheels Athletic Complex. SFSC has a limited number of skates that can be borrowed on a first come first served basis. Join us to take the next step in your skating journey! Bring your imagination to life with clay! Students will sculpt their favorite animals, creatures, characters, or original creations using air-dry clay. Babysitting Clinic
This hands-on Babysitting Clinic, for students in grades 5-8 includes activities that focus on basic first aid, fire and weather safety, child development and parent expectations. A handbook will be provided and each participant will receive a certificate after successfully completing this two hour course. -
Back to School Storybook STEM with Mrs. Rudolph (MHES)
What if your favorite story came with a science experiment? In Storybook STEM, every adventure begins with a book. Students dive into a read-aloud, then roll up their sleeves to engineer, investigate, and create, inspired by the characters and challenges from the page. Students practice teamwork, creative problem-solving, and the engineering design process, all while deepening their love of reading. Beginning Karate for Kids
An Introduction to the traditional martial art of Okinawan Karate. Basics of punching, kicking, & striking will be taught. Students begin to learn the bones in their bodies and start to understand the concepts of self discipline, awareness, concern for others, and principles for the class and for life. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; practicing is barefooted for better balance. -
Being Balanced and Centered
Do you worry about tripping, slipping, or falling? This introductory class will help you better understand how your body is designed to move. You'll learn fundamental body mechanics that improve strength, stability, and balance- skills you can apply to everyday actions like sitting, standing, and walking. With increased awareness of alignment and posture, you'll gain the confidence to move more safely and efficiently throughout your day. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. We'll be practicing with flat shoes or socks. -
Board Games With Neighbors
Board games are a great way to meet new people, connect with neighbors, and learn new things. Join us for an evening of playing games and getting to know others in the community. The hosts will bring a variety of new and classic games to try, including games for children. We will also have pop, sparkling water, and snacks for refreshments. You're welcome to bring your own game or a snack to share, making this event truly communal. Suitable for age 18+ school-aged children are welcome with an adult.
